Who are we?
VION Food Netherlands is a part of the international VION Food Group. VION produces high-quality foodstuffs for humans and animals, made from natural materials of agricultural origins. VION Food Group has two core activities: VION Food and VION Ingredients. These are controlled at a national level – see our organisational chart with country structure - enabling the company to operate as closely to the customer and supplier markets as possible.
Divisions
VION Food Netherlands consists of two divisions: Fresh Meat and Convenience. Fresh Meat covers the production of pork and beef for industrial customers. Convenience NL specialises in the production and marketing of fresh and processed meat to Dutch supermarkets, foodservice activities for the out-of-home market, and transport and logistics for refrigerated products. VION Food Netherlands employs some 2,600 staff.
Markets
VION Food Netherlands occupies a leading position in the European market for quality fresh meat and food. It specialises in the total processing of natural materials into contemporary food products. VION Food Group's basis is in its home markets: the UK, Germany and the Netherlands
Innovative
VION employs a continuous process to develop new products, services, technologies or processes these to create added value in the chain and ensure that we react to the ever-changing consumer demands and relevant trends, such as health and diet, animal welfare, ‘fair trade’, sustainability and regional sourcing.
ZLTO
VION is strongly affiliated with its single shareholder ZLTO (Zuidelijke Land- en Tuinbouworganisatie or the 'Agriculture and Horticulture Organisation for the South Netherlands'). ZLTO promotes the interests of agricultural and horticultural entrepreneurs in the Dutch provinces of Noord-Brabant, Zeeland and (the southern part of) Gelderland. ZLTO has some 18,000 members, representing more than 12,000 agricultural enterprises.
